Junior Professor Chair
The CNRS in France will very soon open a Junior Professor Chair related to « New perspectives in physics of laser-matter interaction in high or ultra-high-intensity regime ».
The project
The project includes 4 years of salary for the chair, 200 k€ for the project and 120 k€ for a PhD grant. After the chair, this position is aimed to become a permanent Director of Research position at CNRS.
The host laboratories are : the Laboratoire pour l'Utilisation des Lasers Intenses (LULI) and the Laboratoire d’Optique Appliquée (LOA), located at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IPP), a world-class Institute of science and technology at Palaiseau.
The candidate
The candidate is supposed to conduct the following activities related to the chair program :
- Teaching on laser-plasma interaction at the IPP (40 hours/year)
- Participate and conduct a research program (experimental, theoretical or numerical) related to laser-matter interaction in high or ultra-high-intensity
