Prof en Fac Program
Train teachers in the use of plasmas in colleges and high schools.
The Sorbonne University program "Prof en Fac" offers physics - chemistry teachers in secondary school (Lycée) the opportunity to "participate in an exceptional immersion in the physics and chemistry laboratories" of the University! On the program: visit to educational facilities, visit to laboratories and scientific conferences.
Each year PLAS@PAR welcomes around two groups of 15 teachers as part of "Prof en Fac", supervised by teacher-researchers from the community: the ASUR team of the INSP, including Christophe Prigent, guides the visit to the Source of Ions Multicharged from the Institut des NanoSciences de Paris. This visit is accompanied by demonstration manipulations, such as the effect of the magnetic field on charged particles, as well as explanatory slides and discussions with the teachers.
